Less then two years from the day of the foundation in September 2005 in Almaty/Kazakhstan, our continental Asian Governing body of Ju Jitsu and Belt Wrestling (AJJBWF) has been officially recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in its 50th Executive Board meeting held on 28th May 2007 at Almaty/Kazakhstan under the chairman ship of its President H.E. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al Sabah.
The recognition of these two sports under the umbrella of AJJBWF means that all member asian countries will have chance to compete each other and show their talents in the highest forum of sports in Asia.i.e.Asian Games,Indoor Asian Games, Beach Asian Games, Regional Games and other sport events organized by OCA.
The successful organization of 1st Asian Championships in Almaty in November 2006 and obtaining recognition of OCA in such a short span of time after its foundations,is no doubt a tremendous acheivement of AJJBWF under the most dedicated and able command of its Executive President Mr.Khalil Ahmed Khan.

50th OCA Executive Board 28-05-2007
The 50th OCA Executive Board meeting was held in Almaty on 28th of May 2007 under the chairmanship of HE Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, President OCA. During the course of the meeting the members also had the opportunity visit the various venues in Almaty which will be used for the 7th Asian Winter Games to be held in 2011.
The DECISIONS taken during the Executive Board meeting were:
1. The unanimous nomination of the members of the OCA Standing Committees for the term 2007 – 2011.
2. Approved the amended logo for the 1st Asian Beach Games.
3. Thanked the NOC of Qatar and Thailand for their offer to be the replacement NOCs for hosting the Asian Games should the City allotted to host the Asian Games is unable to do so due to unavoidable circumstances.
4. Approved to grant the NOC of Palestine a grant-in-aid of US $ 10,000 to rebuild the sports venues devastated by war.
5. Approved to have the WADA office in the OCA premises in Kuwait under the umbrella of the regional WADA office in Tokyo.
6. To appoint Dr. Reza Gharkhanlou to conduct the requisite academic research and prepare the working paper and documents for the OCA Congress to be held during the inauguration of the OCA headquarters in 2008.
7. Grant recognition to Asian Jujitsu and Belt Wrestling Federation
8. Grant recognition to WAKO Asia as the body in charge of Kickboxing in Asia and include kickboxing as a demonstration sports during the 2nd Asian Indoor Games in Macau.
9. Include Cricket and Roller Skating in the sports programme of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games
10. Maintain Chess and Weiqi to be included as a discipline of Chess in the 2010 Asian Games Programme.
11. Soft Tennis to be included as a discipline of Tennis in the 2010 Asian Games programme.
